How Testicular Cancer Spreads
Both seminomas and nonseminomas tend to spread to lymph nodes in the back part of the abdomen. This area is called the retroperitoneum. Seminomas tend to spread later. Nonseminomas tend to spread earlier and more often. Nonseminomas tend to spread first to distant lymph nodes or to the lungs. In rare cases, they can spread to the liver, bones, or brain.
Even when testicular cancers spread, your chance for cure is still very high. This is not true with many other types of cancer.
